Why we need Anointing from Holy Spirit ?
Jesus Christ led a model life when he was in this world. He was baptized by John the Baptist and was filled with Holy Spirit. He healed the sick, made the lame walk, and cast out demons through the power of Holy Spirit. Further, anyone who could touch him were healed of his/her sickness. There was a woman who was bleeding for 12 years. She spent most of her money on doctors. None could help her. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well" (Mark 5:28; 3:10; 6:56).
Jesus has given the same authority for everyone who is filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, "In my name they will cast out demons. They will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover" (Mark 16:17)
